Who Can Apply?

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

Proof of Residence: Valid PRC or Employment Exchange certificate needed.

Age Limit:

Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years as on 01.01.2025.
Relaxation: +5 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H); +3 years for OBC/MOBC.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with any of these specializations:

Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications/Science, Engineering (Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.

Selection Procedure

1. Written Exam (500 Marks) — Four papers including two optional subjects chosen by the candidate.

2. Walking Test — 25 km (Male) & 16 km (Female) to be completed within 4 hours.

3. Medical Test & Health Certificate — To ensure physical fitness for outdoor work.

4. Viva-Voce Interview — 75 Marks.

Training: Selected candidates will undergo 18 months of professional Forestry training in a government-recognized college. Probation and bond conditions apply.
