Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Nationality & Residency: Applicants must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.

Employment Exchange: Candidates must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in Assamese or any other State language.

Educational Qualifications:

1. Forester Grade-I: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

2. Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT): H.S. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

3. Fireman & Emergency Rescuer: H.S. (Science) passed.

4. Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB): H.S. (10+2) or equivalent.

5. AFPF Constable, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, Bugler & Boatman: HSLC or equivalent passed.

Age Limits (as of January 1, 2026):

#Sub-Officer: 20–24 years.

#Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, and Bugler: 18–40 years.

#AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, and

#Boatman: 18–25 years.

Physical Standards: Candidates must meet specific height and chest requirements. For example, general male candidates for Forester Grade-I must be at least 163 cm tall.
